Gatorade
The Challenge — In the past two seasons, the NFL had a no helmet policy, wanting to leverage stars by face recognition only. For the 2025 season, we were granted permission to feature players in action. But, with that, came a ton of photo research time finding shots that kept players somewhat recognizable.
The Strategy — Aidan Hutchinson of the Detroit Lions had the perfect blend of both action and identity. He was the best choice to use for laying out the key visual for the season.
For composition, his rushing pose had nice visual weight that held the left space on top of the Gatorade orange gradient. Detroit's team flavor also paired perfectly with the Lions uniforms. Combined with the far right logo lockup, that powder blue united Gatorade and the NFL that made both big brands happy. As the protein supplier to the NFL, Muscle Milk brand was also very pleased with the alliance.

The Result — Putting star players to action proved to be a more successful approach, as 2025 Gatorade sales in large NFL markets were up from '24. The look was so successful, that it was extended to Major League Baseball for '26.
